EXPLORE SONOMA AND DRY CREEK WINE COUNTRY - Healdsburg Sip N Cycle Tour

Ride on some of Sonoma County's most beautiful roads! We will spend the day in Dry Creek Valley, cycling on country lanes and visiting three to five wineries. Dry Creek Valley is known for its spicy reds and great white wines and we will bring you to our favorite wineries to sample fine wine created from the vines we will be cycling past.

Over the course of the day we will ride 15-20 miles on relatively flat roads, and have our gourmet picnic lunch at one of our winery stops. This area is more rural and quite than Napa Valley and reminds everyone of Provence, France.

As part of your day tour will visit 3 to 5 extraordinary wineries along dry creeks country lanes.

The California wine country is blessed with an average temperature of 76 degrees and virtually no rain from April to November which makes this the perfect place for an outdoor adventure. Lots of sunshine, low humidity and cool nights.

Tour Details: Healdsburg Sip N Cycle Tour

Morning

We check you in at 9:30 AM. This gives you ample time to finish your delicious B&B breakfast or make the drive up from virtually anywhere in the Northern California region. We then fit you to a Cannondale Comfort bike along with a helmet, bag, and comfortable gel-seat. Your leader goes over the “Rules of the Road” as well as how to operate the bike. We're off on a guided tour at about 10:00 AM with your leader explaining the sights and some of the wine jargon / history. We travel the quiet country lanes to our first winery stop. After a tour of the grounds we taste the wine and then move along to our second winery and tasting. The support van is nearby for wine purchases or another bottle of water. We cycle along easy and flat roads to our third winery and our picnic spot.

Lunch with Getaway Adventures

Dining with Getaway is quite an event. First we pick a table under big shade oaks with a view of the valley. Next comes out the linen tablecloth, china and silverware. Fruit and bread baskets round out the setting; then the food! Typical is Pesto pasta salad, local organic salad greens, fresh baked bread, exotic cheeses, seasonal fruit, and dessert.

Afternoon

After our lunch we return to our bikes rested and recharged. Of to our third winery and more excellent wines. After a tasting, we then ride to the starting point ariving around 3:30 p.m. Here we bid you farewell and thank you for riding with us!

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Confirmation for this product will be received within 12-24 hours,subject to availability. For every confirmed booking you will receive an e-mail with your E-Ticket Voucher - when your booking is confirmed. Please present this E-Ticket voucher at the Tour Office.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellations within 72 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 72 hours are charged a minimum $25.00 per person administration fee. We charge for NO SHOWS. No Shows on tour dates are charged 100%. Some specific tours and activities have a higher cancellation fee due to the limited space available.

Recommended: Comfortable shoes and a extra layer of warm clothing.

Weather permitting, tour route may be altered.
